Who may contribute data?

Any person or group that might normally submit a paper to a journal may submit a data set to the archive. Before data can be added to the archive, the archive editors will work with the contributors to ensure that adequate and appropriate description is made available to accompany the data.

Conditions on contributions

  1. The data must have been collected in an approved manner, i.e., by methods commonly accepted by other major jounals.
  2. Once contributed, the data may be amended, but a record of the original data will remain public, along with a description of the changes and the reasons they were made.
  3. The archive does not request exclusive rights to the data, only the right to hold indefinitely the data for public access.
